Does your school percussion
section need guidance, motivation, or equipment recommendations?
In-school clinics,
and masterclasses available for students, AND educators.
I have been working with percussionists of all ages since 1978. In this time, I
have developed teaching styles to help your students turn into technically proficient, and musically sensitive percussion
performers. These players become a valuable asset to school, as well as community bands, and orchestras. This also prepares
the student to handle any audition situation they may encounter.
I
am available for masterclasses, or clinics (for students, AND Band Directors, who need a little brush up on percussion techniques).
Some of the topics:
*Snare Drum: Orchestral Techniques / A musical approach to Rudiments
/ Tuning your drums.
*Timpani: The care, tuning, adjustments, and ranges of your instrument.
*Toys & Traps: The essential's for all percussionists, Triangle,
Tambourine, Cymbals, etc.
*Marimba/Xylophone: Mallet selection / Beginner exercises,
and repertoire / Audition repertoire.
*Vibes: Comping chords
in a "Jazz Ensemble" / Devoloping a musical solo / 4 Mallet technique.
